POTLATCH for VISION QUEST 2011
Tim Day will be handling a Potlatch funds raiser during this preparation time for the 2011 VISION QUEST this will be our third year at BEAR BUTTE. If you have beautiful Medicine pieces that have helped you and it is time for those pieces to move on; we will have a give away blanket move through the community to put those pieces into the right hands. All monies will go to the VISION QUEST
The barter of wealth through gifts is found in many traditions. One of those is the potlatch ceremony and it is a way to share wealth through gifting to individuals and the community. Gifting is expressed through material wealth such as food and supplies, material things and money or from cultural wealth like songs, dances and storytelling. Each tribe has its own way.
This year a vision was received to honor the spirit of the potlatch tradition to support the Earth Green Medicine Lodge Vision Quest. There will be people donating items and people exchanging money for those donations. Blankets will be laid out to receive your offerings and provide a space for folks to view what has been made available. If something calls to you, take it with you and make a donation in the gifting basket with proceeds going to support the community during Vision Quest. Think of it as a single-bidder silent auction and everybody wins. This is an opportunity to gift your better items,
medicine pieces, artwork and services.

at Pilot Mountain, NC
(8 OC-White Dog) Wave of Blue Night Akbal in this ceremony we will take care of our personal Dream times, Abundance and connection to source. As well as connect with the mountain spirits. Ceremony will take place on Pilot Knob State Park Mountain, NC area. We will hike up and make our connections to the Mountain Ajpu Spirits; and use our personal golden lassos to connect with the Mountain spirits
and the Intiwatanna stones of Peru.
Those that want will meet on Friday night at Earth Green Medicine Lodge to prepare our offerings for the EARTH DISPATCHO Altar; The feast and the ceremony. We intend to Car Pool the next day to Intiwatanna stone ceremony. Please check with Zoe. More info
